The Gran Dansà in La Font de la Figuera Brings Together 120 Couples for a Night of Tradition

Adriana Albero Biosca and Carla Ribera Botella, Queens of the Dansà 2026, took center stage at one of the most anticipated events of the festivities

La Font de la Figuera once again embraced tradition on Saturday, September 5, with the celebration of its Gran Dansà—one of those evenings where music, traditional attire, and dance serve as a reminder that a town’s customs remain alive from generation to generation.

The 2026 Queens of the Dansà, Adriana Albero Biosca and Carla Ribera Botella, were the stars of a very special evening that brought together no fewer than 120 couples, filling the town’s streets with music, color, and spirit.

To the beat of traditional music, the couples came together to form a massive Gran Dansà, in which different generations shared the same dance and the same way of understanding and preserving the roots of La Font de la Figuera.

The participation of 240 dancers—both men and women—made this year’s event an impressive display of folk tradition. Every step, every turn, and every detail of the costumes contributed to creating one of the most beautiful scenes of the festivities.

For Adriana Albero Biosca and Carla Ribera Botella, the evening also held special significance. As Queens of the Dansà 2026, they experienced from a privileged vantage point a celebration that represents much more than just a dance: it means embracing the legacy of those who came before them and helping to pass it on to new generations.

The Gran Dansà thus demonstrated once again the strength of a tradition that belongs to the people and that remains alive precisely thanks to those who, every year, dress up, take to the streets, and dance once more.

Because there are traditions that need not remain merely in our memories: they are heard, felt, and, above all, danced.

From Essència i Cor, we’d like to congratulate Adriana, Carla, the 120 participating couples, and everyone who made possible a night when La Font de la Figuera danced once again to the rhythm of its very essence.
