Beatriz Blanco Tamarit, Fallera Mayor of Valencia 2027: the spirit of Ruzafa that will win over the entire city
Beatriz Blanco Tamarit begins an unforgettable year in which her passion for the Fallas, her roots, and her love for Valencian traditions will take center stage in a story filled with excitement and emotion.

Beatriz Blanco Tamarit: A life dedicated to the Fallas, culminating in the dream of representing Valencia in 2027
The Fallas of Valencia now have their primary representative for the 2027 season. 24-year-old Beatriz Blanco Tamarit has been named Fallera Mayor (Head Representative) of Valencia—a milestone that will forever define her journey within a festival that has been a part of her life since birth.
Excitement filled the casal (clubhouse) of the Castellón–Segorbe falla—part of the Ruzafa B sector—when the phone rang with the news that Beatriz had been chosen to represent the entire fallero community. This moment became one of the most significant of her life, marking the beginning of a year filled with responsibilities, new experiences, and unforgettable memories.
A lifelong member of the Castellón–Segorbe falla commission, Beatriz has always maintained a close connection to her group, playing an active role in its operations and collaborating across various committees, including Public Relations, Youth Activities, Festivities, and Social Media.
Her deep involvement in the festival has earned her the Bunyol de Plata (Silver Badge), to which the Bunyol de Oro (Gold Badge) will be added this year—a fitting recognition of her long-standing commitment to the world of the Fallas.
Academically and professionally, Beatriz holds a degree in Industrial Organization Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Valencia. She currently works as an engineer in the maintenance department of a service company, balancing her professional career with her passion for the Fallas and Valencian traditions.
Among the many events that make up the fallero calendar, the Offering of Flowers to the Virgin of the Forsaken (Virgen de los Desamparados) holds a particularly special place for her. Her family’s profound devotion to the patron saint of Valencia makes this celebration one of the most moving moments of the year. She also highlights her special fondness for the Plantà and the Cremà—two events she considers essential to understanding the true essence of the Fallas. The dedication of the comisiones (organizing committees), the craftsmanship of the artistas falleros, and the thrill of seeing months of preparation come to fruition represent, for her, some of the most authentic values of our festival.
Beyond the world of the Fallas, Beatriz is a creative person who enjoys spending her free time on crafts such as sewing, ceramics, and crochet. She is also deeply passionate about reading—a hobby that is an integral part of her daily life.
Her commitment to Valencian culture and customs is further reflected in her participation in the Dansà a la Mare de Déu (a traditional dance for the Virgin Mary), held in May, alongside her dance group. Additionally, she shares in other traditional celebrations with her family, such as the Misa d’Infants (Mass for the Children) and the Traslado (processional transfer) of the Virgin of the Forsaken (Virgen de los Desamparados).
This deep connection to tradition, her active involvement in her comisión, and her profound devotion to the Fallas are all part of the personal story of the woman who will now have the honor of representing Valencia and its Fallas throughout the coming year.
Accompanied by her Court of Honor, Beatriz embarks on a journey that will see her take part in numerous official events, visit various comisiones and towns, and share the excitement of a celebration that unites entire generations with thousands of other falleros and falleras.
At Essència i Cor, we would like to extend our sincerest congratulations to Beatriz Blanco Tamarit on her selection as Fallera Mayor of Valencia for 2027.
We wish her a tenure filled with happiness, unique experiences, and moments that will remain in her memory forever. May every event, every encounter, and every emotion allow her to fully enjoy this dream that begins to come true today.
Congratulations, Beatriz! Long live the Fallera Mayor of Valencia 2027!
